Apartments on an estate near Fivizzano, Tuscany North

Location

Posara is very small village that no longer has a commercial district. The mill has been converted into five small apartments, which are more than adequate. It is on the edge of the village at the end of deadened lane. very quiet setting.

Nearby Amenities

The nearest commercial district is Fivizzano, about 2km up the road. Certainly walkable but the road is very narrow. It is a full service town.

The House/Apartment

The apartment we had was in well tended condition, peaceful and quiet. There are five apartments in the facility but none of them interfere with the other.

Garden

There is a very large green space shared by all the apartments. Tables are scattered about so that you can get some separation from others. There is a wood-fired grill and implements available for your use.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Very comfortable and clean.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Everything was very nice and clean. Our first experience with sleeping with just a duvet.

Kitchen

Very complete kitchen. We cooked about half of our evening meals.

Problems or Bonuses

The good surprise was that there were no bad surprises.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Very comfortable working with the owners in England. Very complete directions on how to get there. The managers (that don't live on site but are very responsive to a phone call) speak English.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

No qualms about staying again.

Things to do in this area

Lots of hiking and reading trashy vacation books. A car is needed as it is fairly remote. Though, there are many, many day trip opportunities; the coast, the mountain, big cities.
