3bed/1bath apartment near Campo dei Fiori, Rome
WhenFebruary 2007, 8 nights LocationThe Pellagrino apartment is located within Campo dei Fiore, part of Rome's historic district. It is a charming and beautiful area, old buildings, outdoor markets and cobblestone streets abound. The apartment is centrally located and within walking distance to many of the major sites in Rome. Nearby AmenitiesCampo dei Fiore is filled with lovely restaurants, outdoor cafes and espresso bars. We were within a three minute walk to quaint shops, grocery stores, pharmacies and other amenities. The House/ApartmentThe apartment is located in an old building on a cobblestone street. It is located on the second floor of a three story building. It was in very good condition. We loved the fact that the apartment was located on a quiet side street but so close to everything. GardenThe center of Campo dei Fiore is so close to the apartment that it served as our outside seating area, great for people watching while observing the lively outdoor market which was set up daily. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartment was very clean, spacious and comfortable. There was ample seating for all the six of us at the dining table and in the living room. The bedrooms were large with high ceilings. The furniture was older but comfortable and in good shape. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe three bedrooms were very comfortable. There was one bathroom, which was small but adequate. KitchenThe kitchen was small, very user friendly and well equipped. Problems or BonusesSince we had not traveled to Rome before we were hoping that this location would be the right place for us. It could not have been better! Agency and Representatives (and price)Comfortalia was recommended to me by friends and now I know why! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Comfortalia. Helen and Prudence were fantastic to work with. Prior to our arrival in Rome, Helen made us feel comfortable by responding promptly to our e-mails and questions. Comfortalia took care of arrangements for our transportation from and to the airport at a very reasonable price and loaned us the use of a cell phone while we were there. Prudence was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived and helped to orientate us to our surroundings. The apartment accurately reflected the published information. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We would definitely stay in this apartment again! It is the perfect apartment for a large family or group of friends. The only qualification I offer with this recommendation is that the decor and furniture are a bit outdated. However, since we spent every waking moment exploring our surroundings this did not matter to us. The furniture was comfortable, very comfortable. Things to do in this areaThere are so many things to do in this area that it would be hard to list them all. One of our favorite things was walking and exploring the area by way of twisting cobblestone streets. All the sights were a delight, fountains and ancient ruins are around every corner.
