1bed/2bath apartment in Dorsoduro, Venice WhenMay 2007, 1 week LocationCa' Carmimi has a beautiful private garden. It has two floors. The ground floor has a large living room, with pull-out sofa bed, a tiny bathroom with shower, and a really small kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. Upstairs is a large sitting room, bath with tub/shower, and a large bedroom. It's a very comfortable house in a fantastic location. Nearby AmenitiesCampo Santa Margherita, one of Venice's greatest campos, is a minute or two away. There you'll find a number of restaurants/bars, a supermarket, butcher, baker, fish & veggie market, two gelato places, and more. Everything you need is there. The House/ApartmentThere are about a dozen apartments in this building, but it's very quiet. We never saw any other tenants. There's a hair dryer, TV, stereo and more espresso pots than I've ever seen in an apartment! GardenThere is a very nice private garden. No pool. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasFurniture is in good shape and more than enough chairs, sofas, etc. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds were comfy. Bathrooms were fine as were the bedrooms. Good towels and linens were included. There were plenty of blankets for cool evenings. KitchenIt's a small kitchen, but outfitted quite well. We had breakfast in every morning and cooked one dinner in. It is well-equipped, but too small for more than one cook at a time. Agency and Representatives (and price)Views on Venice, as always, was fantastic. We called from the airport and the representative met our water taxi and even helped with the luggage. There is a little booklet with helpful information and the representative walked us through the apartment, showing us its features. The price is listed at €1400 for the week and well worth it! Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would stay in this apartment again without a moment's hesitation. I really like the location. Things to do in this areaAll of Venice is available. Being so close to Campo Santa Margharita made it easy to enough a daily gelato and a stop at the bar after a hard day of touring.
