apartments on an estate near Montepulciano, Tuscany South WhenMay 2007, one week LocationLe Manzinaie is located in a village just outside of Montepulciano. It was the perfect location - very private and centrally located to several hill towns in the area. Nearby AmenitiesThe nearest grocery and restaurants are located a short three minute drive away. The House/ApartmentThe apartment is part of a lovingly restored farmhouse. The apartment was spacious, well equipped and very, very clean. There are four apartments located in the main building and two free standing villas (one is under construction now but will be ready by August 2007). GardenThe communal gardens were absolutely gorgeous. Lovely grass, fruit trees, roses, jasmine and other plants, all tended to by Marzie. There is a pool. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartment was comfortable, clean, well-furnished and stocked. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bedroom was beautiful furnished with a very comfortable four poster bed and beautiful hand stenciling on the walls. The bathroom was very large and modern, with a jacuzzi tub, stall shower, double sink and hairdryer. The apartment, "Glicine," which is the smallest apartment, is the perfect size for us (couple and baby). KitchenThe kitchen was equipped with a stove, sink, microwave, coffee pot, and was well-equipped with pots, pans, utensils and dishes. Problems or BonusesBonus! The hosts, Fiore, Marzie and Alice, are incredibly gracious, caring and helpful. As nice as the property is, they make the place extra special. They also host a group dinner for all of their guests once a week, which was delicious. Agency and Representatives (and price)We booked directly with the owners based on the reviews on this site. We paid €621 for the week, an incredible bargain for what we got. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We absolutely will stay here again and recommend this property to all of our friends and family. Things to do in this areaWe drove around the beautiful Tuscan countryside and visited many hill towns in the area. Some of our favorites were hidden gems not mentioned in guidebooks, but recommended by Le Manzinaie (Montichiello was one).
