Review 2779: Owner, Casina di Rosa

Review by Ellen C from US

1bed/1bath house in Civitella Marittima, Tuscany West

May 12 to May 26, 2007, Two weeks

It was in a charming perched village. The location is wonderful. It was close to other buildings but exceptionally private.

Nearby Amenities

Everything is within easy walking distance.

The House/Apartment

It was a very old building. Very peaceful and quiet. It has one bedroom, a living room, with sofa bed, kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of space. There are no other rentals there.

There was a pleasant outside sitting area, moderately private. No swimming pool.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Everything was comfortable and in excellent shape. The property is immaculate in every way.

The bed was comfortable and the bedroom very nice. The bathroom was fine.

The kitchen was very usable. We cooked some meals there. Plenty of utensils, pots, and crockery. The owner was very generous about leaving supplies like, coffee, salt, sugar, etc.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

We rented from the owner.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would happily stay there again and recommend it to our friends. It is a lovely place to stay in Tuscany. Gloria and Marcel are excellent hosts.

Don't miss the tiny pasta shop at the entrance to the village. They have delicious hand mad pasta and great appetizers.

Things to do in this area

Touring Tuscany is the primary activity. Carlo's wine and olive oil tasting tour is a not-to-be-missed experience. Unique and terrific. The Locanda restaurant in the village is one of the finest restaurants in Tuscany.
