2bed/2bath apartment near Duomo, Florence WhenMid-May 2007, 5 days LocationWe were very fortunate to rent a beautiful apartment in the heart of Firenze (Florence). The apartment is located right across the street from the Duomo! It was wonderful. Nearby AmenitiesThe apartment is conveniently located with excellent access to restaurants and historically interesting places. The House/ApartmentThe apartment was in excellent shape. It's clean, spacious, and well-furnished. There are beautiful fresco ceilings in the living room and bedrooms. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furniture was in fine shape, with plenty of space to go around. Bedrooms/BathroomsTwo beds had hard mattresses; the others were more comfortable. Two clean and very nicely furnished bathrooms, both with bidets, one equipped with a full bath, the other with a shower. KitchenThe kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, and pans. It was nicely equipped to allow the preparation of full means - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Problems or BonusesThe only potential drawback is that one must access the apartment by walking up several flights of stairs. There's no lift. While we didn't mind, it could be a problem for anyone who has trouble navigating stairs. Agency and Representatives (and price)We were treated exceptionally well by everyone with whom we interacted. Rest assured that the next time we are in Florence, we will do so. It was a wonderful experience. Things to do in this areaVisited the many nearby historical sights, went on a bicycle ride into the Tuscan countryside where we visited a farmhouse and tasted their wine and olive oil, visited nearby Siena.
