6bed/3bath house near Castellina, Tuscany Chianti WhenMay 2007, Two weeks LocationYou felt as though you were deep in the country because of the beautiful landscape surrounding the property. The property overlooked vineyards and olive trees. It was located very close to the town of Castellina. It was a perfect location in the heart of Tuscany. Nearby AmenitiesYou could not walk to coffee or groceries. You had to drive down a gravel road to get to the property from the main road. It was approximately 1.6 km from the COOP and the heart of Castellina. The House/ApartmentThe villa was constructed 350 years ago. It was in perfect condition -- very modern bathroom and kitchen facilities. There were three separate "stone" structures that made up the entire space of the villa. They were very close together and made a perfect accommodation for a large group. Each structure was a set-up as a mini-villa. Each had a complete kitchen and bathroom facilities. GardenThe outside patio overlooking for vineyards was very private. There was a swimming pool below the outside patio. Also, very private with beautiful surroundings. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasFurniture fit perfect for an old Italian villa; there were many antique furnishings. The house was very clean - A+. The dining room table was very large and it was a perfect setting for meals. Bedrooms/BathroomsBedrooms/bathrooms were comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms and they were modern facilities. KitchenKitchen was more than adequate. We expected it to be small for Italian standards but it was perfect for a large group to prepare meals. Problems or BonusesThe biggest surprise was how great it was!! Agency and Representatives (and price)Our agency -- Italian Vacation Villas -- was fantastic. Would highly recommend and refer to others. On site representatives were more than helpful. Very attentive to our needs. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Yes -- would recommend it as a perfect location for a large group visiting Tuscany. Location - Castellina - perfect for visiting Tuscany. Would advise that that property is off a dirt road with twists and turns but well worth the journey. You will fall in love with this property -- true Tuscany -- true Italy. Things to do in this areaWe visited hill-top towns throughout Tuscany. We wanted to concentrate only on the uniqueness of Tuscany. Spent only one day in Florence.
