Vacation rentals in Italy (villas, farms, estates, agriturismo, apartments)
Review 2861: Le Manzinaie, Apartment
apartments on an estate near Montepulciano, Tuscany South
April 2007, 7 days
A special place in Italy. A beautiful farmhouse set in magnificent gardens, around five spacious apartments with every conceivable facility, washer dryer dishwasher the lot. This beautiful special place is run by a family who we would love to adopt. For anyone travelling in Italy and need a fantastic comfortable private base to tour in a 200 k radius which would include Pisa, Rome, Florence, Siena, Assisi and much much more look no further. Modern facilities but old world. We are very fussy travellers and this stay was without doubt the highlight of six weeks touring France and Italy. Unpack you bags and enjoy a glass of red. This beautiful corner of the world has the lot!
You must drive, but there are beautiful places to visit in close proximity with markets, supermarkets, liquor stores etc. Eat at the fabulous D'Angelos in Aqua Viva a short trip.
The apartments are incorporated in a beautiful historical building and two free standing as well. A total of about five apartments in all, all in fantastic condition and better than any five star hotel.
Magnificent acres of gardens, pool, barbecue, heaps of undercover parking and each apartment has a external sitting area within the gardens. Very private grounds.
More than enough of everything, just like your own home but in another part of the world. Spacious living area, huge bedrooms, en suites, heating the lot!
Large beds, most comfortable in large bedrooms with en suites. State of the art modern bathrooms with bidet, one bathroom for each bedroom.
Huge, with every conceivable appliance. Why go out at night when you can test your skills at preparing Italian dishes in house!
Problems or Bonuses
Surprises? To anyone who enjoys quality and ambiance, with a unique family of mother, father and daughter there for any needs or support, one could not ask for more. Total privacy without interruption but all the assistance if needed from tour planning and shopping etc.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
The total cost for the two couples all inclusive for the week was around €1100 which equates to €225 per head.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
Friends of ours recommended this farmhouse simply raved about it and we booked based on their recommendation. We can only say we'll be back soon and we are delighted to provide recommendations.
Things to do in this area
This farmhouse is centered south of Florence within easy car reach to all the sights of Tuscany and more. Beautiful historical villages nearby and D'Angelos restaurant in Aqua Viva is economical but fantastic quality and variety of local Italian and continental dishes open seven days and nights. Unbelievable wine selections at bargain price. This is after all Montepulciano, one of the foremost wine growing areas in Italy. Stay a week and your hosts will join you in a spectacular Italian food feast in their own home on site.
