Location

Casetta Bonsi della Ruota in Florence was the perfect location for our one-week stay in Florence. The Casetta is located on the left side of the Arno very close to the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. The two-floor apartment sleeps four, two in the one bedroom and two on the pullout sofa on the main floor. We plan to stay there next year for certain, and quite possibly for a month's stay in 2009.

Nearby Amenities

Grocery store within walking distance and many coffee places nearby.

The House/Apartment

The building is quite old but has been beautifully remodeled - kitchen, bathroom and nice furniture appointments. The first floor houses a small laundry area, a kitchen with small eating area, a nicely furnished living room. The upstairs had a good sized bedroom and a very new bathroom.

Garden

A small, private patio on the second floor was a wonderful place to have a glass of wine after a long day.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The apartment is immaculate and extremely comfortable. Clean beyond our expectations. The dining area seated at least four people around the table.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was extremely spacious for the two of us. There is one well-appointed bathroom.

Kitchen

We used the kitchen primarily for breakfast and coffee preparation later in the day. Everything was top-notch with plenty of pots and pans and dishes. You could cook a full meal if you wanted.

Problems or Bonuses

The only surprise was the climb to get to the apartment. It was not a problem, just a surprise. In fact, my husband and I believe that the climb helped build muscles that we let go.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Lisa of Italy Perfect was great to work with. I plan to rely on her for future listings.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We plan to stay there again next spring for about one week and then for a month in 2009. I'd recommend the Casetta Bonsi della Ruota to everyone.

Things to do in this area

Florence has so many great restaurants it's hard to identify a few.
