apartments on a farm near Paganico, Grosseto, Tuscany West WhenJune 2007, 2 weeks LocationThese apartments are in a country location, near a small farm. The location was very good as the views were spectacular and it was very quiet for the children to play. This was an agricultural area and it suited us fine as we had a hire car. Nearby AmenitiesThe nearest store or restaurant was approx seven kilometers away. The House/ApartmentThe building was of recent construction, but built in the old Tuscan style. The apartment was in very good order and it was generally peaceful. The apartment had one bedroom, a bathroom and a living room / kitchen combined. There were two other rental apartments, located in a block of three. GardenThere was a nice outside sitting area, shared with the other residents. There was a pool, again shared. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furnishings were in very good order and the apartment was extremely clean. There were enough chairs for everyone. We found the seating fairly comfortable. Bedrooms/BathroomsWe found the bed a bit firm in our opinion. The bedroom and bathroom were very nicely furnished and decorated. The single bathroom was sufficient. KitchenThe kitchen was perfectly good for general cooking. It would have been a bit small for full meals but we ate out for all our main meals. Problems or BonusesWe were a bit surprised that it took about one hour to reach Siena, due to the single carriageway roads and slow trucks. We thought the location and views from the apartment were stunning, even better than expected. Agency and Representatives (and price)The standard of service by all was excellent. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The published information was an accurate reflection of the property. The price was very competitive and good value. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We would recommend these apartments for anyone wishing a peaceful, relaxing holiday. The weather is great compared to Scotland. Things to do in this areaWe travelled around and visited Siena, Florence (twice), Grossetto, Pisa and Rome. We found a great restaurant near Monte Amiato, which we used most nights.
