Review 3068: Residenza Giubbonari, Red Apartment

Review by KateS from CA

2bed/2bath apartment near Campo dei Fiori, Rome

September 6,7 2007, 2 nights

I cannot gush enough about this apartment. From the first contact we had, Cristina, the manager, was warm, friendly and very helpful. She even recommend shuttle companies to get to the apartment from the airport and acted as a liaison with Alitalia when our luggage was lost.

We stayed in the Red apartment. There are also two other apartments called the Blue and Green apartments. The location could not be beat! We were on Via Giubbonari, about a block away from Campo dei Fiori. Our apartment had two windows in the living room which overlooked the pedestrian street and I enjoyed spending time just watching the people come and go.

Nearby Amenities

We were within walking distance to everything and there were many cafes, bakeries, an Internet point, a tram stop and a grocery store all within a block of the apartment.

The House/Apartment

Our apartment had two bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom, and a queen size fold out couch. The living room was spacious with a couch, two large chairs and a TV. There was a dining area with a large table and a small, but efficient kitchen. There was also a washer/drying in the second bathroom. The whole apartment was very tastefully decorated and the living room had huge exposed wooden beams that were hundreds of years old. It was beautiful! We were in the master bedroom in the back of the house and it was very quiet. Those that slept on the fold out couch said there was some street noise but they closed the shutters and that helped to reduce it.

No outside area.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Very comfortable furnishings and everything was very clean and well kept. The dining table sat six.

The bathrooms were modern and clean. They were not huge but not small either. We did not feel cramped at all. The pillows could have been softer but other than that the beds were very comfy. The decor in the bedrooms was simple and tasteful.

We didn't use anything but the refrigerator and the sink. There was also a stove and a microwave.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Cristina was fantastic!! She was with us the whole time from booking through our departure. I think the apartment was better than the website represents it to be.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would recommend this place without hesitation. We traveled with a group ranging in age from two to 63 and everyone loved it!
