apartments on estate near Montepulciano, Tuscany South WhenSeptember 28-October 6 2007, one week LocationBeautiful location near the cities of Montepulciano Station and Montepulciano. In the country, very private, no buildings nearby. Nearby AmenitiesWalking wasn't that great as the road is very narrow. The nearest grocery stores etc. was a five minute drive, 15 minute walk. The House/ApartmentIt was an old farmhouse, completely updated and renovated by the owners. Very peaceful and quiet. They have two villas that are separate from the farmhouse. We stayed in one and it was lovely. The farmhouse, where the owners live, had six apartments in the bottom and one apartment upstairs beside the owners' own home. GardenLovely garden area. Very private, great pool, sparkling clean. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasEvery thing was wonderful. Great shape. Well furnished and clean. Lots of furniture for the four of us. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe beds were queen size and very comfortable. Great sheets, duvets, pillows etc. Lots of closet space. Each bedroom had its own four piece bathroom (toilet, bidet, shower, sink and jacuzzi tub). KitchenThe owners are fabulous cooks so the standard of equipment was first class. Great pots and pans and a gas cook-top. Wonderful dinners were cooked here after a full day of sight seeing!! Problems or BonusesThe only surprise here was how kind and friendly Marzia, Fiore, and Alice were! They do have the knack of making everyone feel so welcome. A great dinner is cooked once a week for all the guests. It was so good and so much fun. Wine and beer served by the pool. We wanted to use the barbecues and right away, Fiore, is there to start it for us and bring barbecue utensils etc. They can't do enough for you. Our son arrived unexpectedly, and we thought he could just "crash" on the couch Oh no! They INSISTED on bringing a bed in for him. It really was quite touching. I have heard (read) other reports on Le Manzinaie on other sites and this seems to be the "standard operating procedure!" Agency and Representatives (and price)My friend from Hagens' Travel recommended this place. She, too, had clients come back so happy. The owners speak a little English but their daughter, Alice's English is almost perfect. Any trips you wish to make are assisted by Alice. We paid $87.50 a couple, a night. What a deal!! Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Of course, we would stay here again! Absolutely loved it and would truly love to see Fiore, Marzia and Alice again! I have already recommended this property to many of our friends. The best advertising is word of mouth. I am sure everyone that stays here will understand my heartfelt recommendation! Things to do in this areaTraveled to lots of little towns that are nearby -- toured and had lunch -- then returned to our beautiful villa and drank some great wine and cooked a wonderful dinner. Fiore is in the process of building a cooking school, so that when you go, cooking lessons are included. Also, we did a great wine tour! They arranged it all. Go here, you will not be disappointed!!
