4bedroom house near Spoleto, Umbria

Location

10 k outside of Spoleto on top of a hill with a 360-degree view of valley and hill towns. The very best combo of peaceful gorgeous location, yet 15 minutes to Spoleto. This was one of the prettiest places I have ever stayed. The house is the home of the founders of the Moleti Olive Oil Co. and was grandpa's first olive farm.

Nearby Amenities

You need a car but the Coop was only 5 minutes away. Restaurants were also very close, but because you are on top of the hill a car is necessary.

The House/Apartment

Beautiful farmhouse, beautifully yet simply appointed. (The family still uses the house.) Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were terrific with plenty of hot water. Country kitchen was roomy and very functional. The grounds are lovely and the views are magnificent.

Garden

No pool but nice outdoor eating area.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Furniture was old and in good shape. The beds were comfortable. The place was clean, spacious and well lit.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The beds were comfortable. Having three full baths is especially nice.

Kitchen

We are restaurant owners and are picky about kitchens. We cooked most of our dinners there and the kitchen is big and has a great feel to it, with a big prep area, easy to work in.

Problems or Bonuses

This house far exceeded our expectations. When I rent I expect a place to be a little less then it is sold as. This house was far better. Bernard (home owner and agency owner) could not have been more helpful. He is British and his wife is Italian. I hope to take my family back there soon.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would live there, retire there, etc, etc. It is one of the most beautiful peaceful places I have stayed. Also for the price of $1500 a week, this was a STEAL!! Three couples could stay here VERY comfortably.
