2bed/2bath apartment near Duomo, Florence WhenOctober 2007, one week LocationWe were delighted with both the apartment and the rental process. The apartment was just two blocks from the Duomo, quite spacious, nicely furnished, and very quiet. The rental process was quite easy: Drawbridge to Europe (an Oregon based company) has an excellent website with several photos of each property along with specific and accurate information on the apartments. Late arrival was also quite easy as key pickup was at a nearby hotel. We will be using Drawbridge again, I'm sure, for our stay next year in Rome. Nearby AmenitiesYes, you could walk for coffee, groceries or restaurants, all within two blocks. The House/ApartmentI believe it was historical. It was quite well kept up with a lovely garden out back. I would have liked some outdoor seating in the garden, however. Not sure number of apartments - I believe three per floor for four floors. There was an elevator. You can view the apartment directly: Della Robbia GardenNo, one of our few complaints. There was a lovely courtyard/garden, but no place to sit and admire it. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasYes - very comfortable and attractive furniture. Well furnished throughout. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe beds were comfortable and bedrooms nice. There were enough bathrooms and they were good. KitchenNice kitchen, though we would have appreciated some dish detergent left for us. Problems or BonusesThe apartment was even nicer than we expected. Agency and Representatives (and price)Agency was fine to deal with. As they are Oregon-based communication was very easy. We found the apartment as described. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I have and I will! We will be using Drawbridge for our stay in Rome next fall.
