1bed/1bath apartment near Spanish steps, Rome WhenMarch 2008, 14 nights LocationThe best location in Rome(our opinion). The apartment was very close to both the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain. It was on via di Gambero. We walked easily to Piazza Navona as well as the Pantheon. Very quiet and well appointed. Nearby AmenitiesVery close to ALL amenities from groceries to restaurants to the best haircut I have ever had. The House/ApartmentAgain, very quiet nice building, felt secure and safe if I wanted to buy in Rome I would buy in this building. Will stay there again. GardenSmall (very) balcony but apartment had very nice light, was bright and cheery. The balcony was narrow but well lit and sunny and could accommodate a chair or two(it was narrow). Had lovely window boxes with flowers. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasVery comfortable sitting area, very clean nicely appointed. The living room had two very comfortable and tasteful chesterfields. Bedrooms/BathroomsThere was a nice bedroom with lots of storage and also a single bed in an alcove with a very comfortable mattress. Both beds had very good reading lights. The beds very comfortable. Very nice bathroom, lots of storage. The bathroom had shower only but was large and well appointed. KitchenGreat kitchen, could cook as varied a meal as you would want. Problems or BonusesAs advertised; met all or more of our expectations. Agency and Representatives (and price)Very helpful, easy to get in touch with. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would stay again and probably will. Would recommend it to our friends. Things to do in this areaGreat restaurant around the corner as well as many within two blocks. The restaurants name around the corner escapes me but the one we ate at also quite a lot was called Le Sorelle on Via Belsiana. Best food we had in Rome, five minutes from us. My wife remembered the restaurant around the corner, Platinum. Excellent food, extensive wine list. They are into the Slow food movement.
