2bed/2bath apartment near Pantheon, Rome WhenApril 2008, 3 days LocationRome centro storico, very close to Pantheon. Small side street with few cars or pedestrians. Nearby AmenitiesSixty seconds to Pantheon (several restaurants), 50 seconds to Cafe Tazza D'Oro (best in Rome), 40 seconds to Giolitti gelato (one of best in Rome). The House/ApartmentRegular-looking five-storey apartment building; flat was on top floor, about 59 steps up. (Nice winding staircase, though.) Excellent condition, clean and quiet. Windows of flat look out onto other buildings and rooftops, so no real view, but much space inside. You can view the property directly: Casa Alice. GardenSmall balcony off master bedroom, just to grab some fresh air. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasVery clean and comfortable. Excellent beds and baths. Small kitchen had just enough pots, cutlery and dishes when we cooked in. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds very comfortable. Baths great and water hot with great pressure. KitchenUsable kitchen that fit about two adults. You could be challenged if trying to feed more than a small family. Just enough pots, pans, utensils though. Problems or BonusesClothes washer and iron in one bathroom. Large living room. Agency and Representatives (and price)Excellent email communication by Cross Pollinate staff. Very good email communication by Monica, the owner. Monica met us when we arrived, after we called her. No problem with English. Must pay balance in cash on arrival. All went according to plan. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Would heartily recommend, especially to family with kids or perhaps two couples. Things to do in this areaVery close to Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori. In center of it all. Really an ideal location.
