2bed/2bath apartment near Colosseum, Rome When23rd April-, 4 nights LocationWe stayed at the apartment Colosseum Terrace in Rome for four nights. The location was behind the Colosseum, we all (a party of five) found the accommodation excellent with all modern facilities. This apartment was within walking distance to all attractions. It is in a street with other buildings but in a private courtyard. We found the location excellent. Nearby AmenitiesRestaurants were plentiful all around the apartment, serving excellent food. There were some small supermarkets selling enough for what we needed. We ate only breakfast in the apartment. These are all within walking distance. The House/ApartmentThe building was historical, not much to look at from the outside, but very surprising once inside. We were on the second floor and there was also a small lift. There were plenty other apartments veering off the courtyard. The apartment was very clean, modern but compact. The door opened into the living area, which had stairs leading to each bedroom, the dinning room led into a very well utilised kitchen. GardenThe only outside sitting area was a small balcony. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasAll furniture was new, comfortable and plenty of furniture for all in our party, the dinning room table catered six people. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bedrooms were very comfortable and compact. One double and one twin, enough for our short stay in Rome. There was a shower room downstairs with WC and sink, and the same upstairs in the double room. KitchenEverything was in the kitchen; it had everything for cooking full meals but with so many restaurants in the area we only cooked breakfast. Problems or BonusesWe had asked for a fold away bed for the fifth member in our party but didn't receive it! This was the only problem we had but it didn't put us off, the sofa was big enough and there was extra bed linen. Agency and Representatives (and price)The agency were, in my opinion very good. The on site person, Thomas, spoke excellent English, advised us on where to go and to eat. They arranged our taxi to and from the airport, which was very prompt and reasonable. We paid €1100 for four nights for five people and €50 for cleaning. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would definitely stay here again when I next visit Rome. The location, apartment and price were very good. In comparison to hotel prices I felt this was good value for the money! Things to do in this areaThe metro stop was quite near for anyone who didn't want to walk, we took it to go to the Vatican. A bus service also runs around this area. The area felt very safe.
