2bed/2bath apartment in Amalfi, Campania WhenSept. 21-28, 2002, 1 week LocationThe apartment is located in the town of Amalfi. It is a very pretty town along the coast with good access to the other towns along the coast. It is close to the main piazza and very convenient yet quiet. Nearby AmenitiesThe apartment is located steps away from groceries and many shops and restaurants. The House/ApartmentThe apartment is in a compound with other apartments, about 6. There is a central fruit and vegetable garden in the centre. The apartment is in a historical building but in very good condition. It looks much nicer and more spacious than the pictures on the website. GardenThere is no outside sitting area but there is a small balcony in the apartment with a view of the surrounding hills and main cathedral. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasAll the furniture ... tables, chairs, sofa, beds were in very good condition. The beds were especially comfortable in the main bed room. The beds in the other bedroom are a little small though. It was very clean with good appliances .... fridge, stove, washing machine, iron. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds were very comfortable. Two large beds in the main bedroom with attached vanity. The other bedroom has two smaller beds, one that you pull out from under the other. There was another bathroom with shower also. Everything was very clean. KitchenKithen well stocked with pots and pans and dishes. It was great to buy fresh groceries and prepare and impromtu meal. Problems or Bonusesnone Agency and Representatives (and price)Agency is especially helpful with very clear instructions and directions guiding you through the whole booking proecess. Luca is the onsite person who helped me thoughout. His english is perfect. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Yes, I would definitely stay here again and most importantly, I would book through this agency. Things to do in this areaAmalfi was a great base to explore the area. We did daytrips to Ravello, Positano, Vietri, Capri, Sorrento, and Pompei. There is either bus of ferry transport from the town. All the restaurants were great ... we just looked at the menus to see what appealled to us. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
