2bed/1bath apartment in Santa Croce, Venice

Location

We rented an apartment in Venice on the side of the Rialto away from Piazza San Marco. It was a very nice apartment. It was a walk up up about three flights of stairs so it is for the fit of leg. The flights were not very steep and it was only an issue when we were carrying our bags up.

The apartment is right near the San Silvestro vaporetto stop.

We really enjoyed the apartment and the neighborhood which was easy to get to bit off the tourist track.

Nearby Amenities

There were lots of coffee bars and breakfast places around and it was not too far from the big supermarket. Being Venice nothing is very far away.

The House/Apartment

The apartment was well kept and quiet. We were generally comfortable. There is no phone, which was a surprise but apparently was the norm for Venice. We used Italian phone cards in our cell phones so that turned out not to be an issue.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The apartment was not a luxury apartment but was well furnished. We didn't eat a lot of meals in but there was a reasonable supply of dishes etc.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Beds were comfortable, bathrooms good enough, apartment was spacious.

Kitchen

We didn't cook much.

Problems or Bonuses

No wine glasses!!

Agency and Representatives (and price)

We were happy with our experiences and rented both this apartment and an apartment in Rome through this agency. They were very helpful in spite of the fact that both rentals were rather short term and rather short notice.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would stay here again, the only caveat is the stairs, which is not unusual in Venice after all.
