Review 3535: Bed & Breakfast Association of Rome, Cod. 061 Piramide Ostiense
2bed/1bath apartment near Stazione Ostiense, Rome
April, 2008, 8 nights
I had booked this place some time ago, and the main reason for choosing this location was the glowing comments of people who stayed there. They stated how helpful, concerned and friendly the hosts, Lila and Michele were. This certainly proved accurate. Without being intrusive, they ensured we were alright, didn't need anything, offered suggestions about places to visit, and how to get there. Thumbs up to them, they are well suited to this part of their life.
The apartment itself was wonderful, clean and spacious for three travelers. It is well equipped, and the washing machine was especially welcome, after a period with no laundry facilities. A big basket of fruit and a bottle of white wine was left for us to enjoy. (We did!) We were given two sets of keys, which proved a boon, as we often wanted to go to different places, at different times.
The location is convenient, near the metro, train and buses. We did walk a lot, but it was nice to hop on the Metro, go to our furthest point for the day and walk from there.
So, full marks for: value for money, cleanliness, location, equipment and for the personalities of Lila and Michele. Would I recommend it to friends? Of course.
