Vacation rentals in Italy (villas, farms, estates, agriturismo, apartments)
Review 3573: Owner, Beavita
2bed/1bath apartment in Padova, Veneto
May 31 - June 14 2008, 2 weeks
The Beavita homepage and previous reviewers have described the apartment and neighbourhood in detail. We agree with them at that. We also agree that Beavita is extremely clean and bright, and that Laura and Enrico are very kind and made us feel welcome. The rental price is a really good bargain compared to other rentals that we have taken in Italy.
We may add that the bicycles are an asset. You can ride a bicycle even in the centre of Padova (everybody does) and we also took long rides along the river and the canals and into the countryside. Do bring the pump and some repair outfit. We had a puncture of one of the bicycles 20 kilometres from Padova. One of us walked five kilometres to find a bus back to Padova while the other rode his own bicycle and the punctured one "on tow" back. Anyway it was a nice outing and we had a heartily laugh when we finally met again. Luckily there are lots of repair shops in Padova and the repairer fixed it in a couple of hours.
If there is an opera or a concert in Teatro Olympico in Vicenza, don't miss it. The theatre is unique.
Finally do treat yourself to a dinner at La Finestra in Padova. That's unique too.
We will certainly recommend Beavita and will stay there again if/when we go back to Padova.
