Apartments in converted farmhouse near Siena, Tuscany South WhenMay 10-17, 2008, one week ReviewCorsanello is nestled in the Tuscan countryside just outside of Siena. As you drive up the cypress lined road to Corsanello the view of wheat fields, rolling hills and the Siena skyline is incredible. My family, two adults and two children (ages 3 and 6), stayed in the Capannina Flat for one week in early May 2008. The Capannina Flat is a stand-alone building with two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and two bathrooms. It has it’s own private fenced yard with an outdoor dining area and barbecue. The main farmhouse has four very nice apartment, too. The flat is beautifully decorated and very clean. It has wonderful natural light and its location affords great privacy. Two lovely bathrooms with good showers and lots of hot water. A washing machine and clothes line. Comfortable beds and great storage. We cooked full meals in the kitchen and, although it's not large it was very functional and well-stocked. All of the appliances are new and the grounds are beautifully manicured. The property also boasts a swing and slide, a highlight for our children, as well as a beautiful pool. The pool was a little cool in May but we still managed a swim. The Capannina flat is situated away from the pool, an added bonus with two young children. The local village (a two minute drive), Corsano, has a great little grocery store and a wonderful restaurant. Corsanello is also conveniently located about a 10 minute drive to both Siena and highways connecting to Florence and other Tuscan destinations. Our hosts, Caterina and Antonio were fabulous. They were welcoming, friendly and very attentive to our needs and many questions about the accommodations and local area. We will recommend this property to all our friends.
