2bed/2bath apartment near the river, Rome WhenJuly 12, 2008, 4 nights LocationPerfect location. Walking distance to historical sights, charming, vibrant neighborhood in historic center with many shops, cafes and restaurants. Pedestrian friendly, cobblestone streets. Nearby AmenitiesGrocery store within two blocks of apartment and many restaurants and cafes to choose from near Via Giulia. The House/ApartmentHistoric building, easy access up one flight of stairs. Via Giulia is a quiet, pedestrian only street. Major renovation of the building adjacent to the apartment generated a lot of noise from early morning throughout the day. GardenNo garden or outside area. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasSparse furnishings and decor - not a place you would want to spend a lot of time in. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds were uncomfortable, no extra pillows. Air conditioning in both bedrooms was a plus. Sofa bed in living room was not adequate for a fifth person - very uncomfortable and no air conditioning in the room made it unbearably hot. Bathrooms adequate though a mini bar of soap in each would have been nice. KitchenMinimally equipped kitchen fine for making breakfast. Agency and Representatives (and price)Prompt response from agency via email, on site representative was professional and helpful. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would recommend Domus but would not recommend this particular property. Things to do in this areaFor a nice dinner out, I recommend Pierluigi, which is in between the apartment and Campo dei Fiori, on Via Monserrato. We went with our server's recommendations and had a fabulous meal on our final night in Rome. Reservations recommended for outdoor dining.
