Apartments on estate near Montespertoli, Tuscany Chianti

Last week of August, 2002, 1 week

Location

The house had a splendid view and was quiet and remote. The road to the house was a rough track and very bumpy.

Nearby Amenities

No nearby amenities, it took 10 minutes to drive to the nearest grocery store and 15 minutes to the nearest restaurant.

The House/Apartment

The house was in great shape. Not all windows had screens. The apartment was very spacious and clean.

Garden

Pool was clean and well-kept. Groudns were spectacular and well-kept

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Furnishings were clean and good shape. There were adequate dishes and pots.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Beds were a bit soft, but the rooms were lovely.

Kitchen

Good kitchen with great fridge and stove.

Problems or Bonuses

Antonio the property manager was great and helpful. Very accommodating and supportive. Lovely property that we found a bit too remote to return at night when we wanted to undertake day trips to the surrounding towns.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Exceptional on all counts. Very professional yet human in their understanding of our needs.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

If I wanted a farmhouse holiday with very little travel with a young family, I would stay there. If I was interested in travel to the surrounding area, I would chose a property that was more accessible.

Things to do in this area

Vineyards and olive groves were wonderful. Visit with the winemakers at the Frescobaldi estate was a highlight. Great restaurants in the area that were closed for August.
