Review 3771: Corte Tiepolo, Valier
apartments in San Polo, Venice
September 2008, 4 nights
Located near the San Toma vaporetto stop and traghetto to San Marco. The Valier is a larger apartment than the Tiepolo, with a living room and upstairs loft/ bedroom. It has a small private outside table which we never used.
Venice is walking/vaporetto adjacent. Apartment is two minutes for the vaporetto stop once you have your bearings.
See website for details. There are four other apartments.
Small private area outside we never used.
Nice comfortable furniture. Two skylights motorized with remotes - open for light or open to the air. It made me feel a little James Bondish.
Bathroom downstairs, a little inconvenient. Ceilings a little too tapered; I had to duck to get to dresser etc.
Kitchen in working order with enough equipment to cook. We didn't.
Problems or Bonuses
Bed a little firmer than Tiepolo. It looks great inside. See website.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
Both apartments about €110 euro/night booked directly with the owner. We paid with PayPal. 20% deposit.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
Yes, I think we prefer the Tiepolo but would gladly stay here again.
Things to do in this area
It's Venice. Everything!
