2bed/2bath near the Vatican, Rome

September 2008, 4 days

Location

Ten minutes walk from Vatican City, right in the centre of Rome. Two of our party, both elderly, could reach St. Peter's Square in 10 minutes (more importantly, they could easily walk home for a break from the Vatican City). It was a wonderful location, quiet at night yet very close to the Vatican and no more than a few minutes in a bus or taxi to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountains and many of Rome's other main attractions.

Nearby Amenities

Grocery store 10 minutes away with everything we needed. A smaller shop in the same complex for essentials. A lovely bakery nearby too.

The House/Apartment

See above. It was spacious, clean, modern, with balconies from each room. It was lovely and quiet at night time. I think that it was mainly residential - the local people were very friendly.

Garden

Balconies were private and lovely to enjoy a glass of wine on. No pool but this was the heart of the city.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Furniture was top notch.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bedrooms (both en suite) were very clean, spacious and the bathrooms were lovely. It had a huge kitchen/dining area and three balconies. A beautiful place.

Kitchen

Kitchen was top notch.

Problems or Bonuses

I was surprised that it was so close to the Vatican yet very quiet. Having this just a walk away was excellent.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Our agency - perfect English, prompt responses, easy to deal with, and everything was as it was advertised.

On site person - excellent. Everything was in order as we had booked it.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Absolutely no doubt that we'll be back. I have already recommended this apartment as well as our agency to many friends.
