2bed/1.5bath apartment near Ponte Umberto, Rome WhenOctober, 2008, 10 days LocationThe location of this apartment was perfect. We could walk to anything in the center of Rome. Also, we loved the feel of the neighborhood. Nearby AmenitiesThe restaurant downstairs from the apartment call Trattoria Lilly was one of the best Italian restaurants we had been to in Rome! No one really speaks English and it appeared that mostly locals went there. But, we highly recommend it. Everything was fresh and delicious and very good prices. Also, it was very convenient to walk into the neighborhood (which is very close to Piazza Navona - five minute walk) to get anything -- other restaurants, coffee, shopping, gelato. The House/ApartmentThe building was a condominium and the apartment had been renovated. It could have been an advertisement for IKEA. Everything was very modern. The entry way was nothing to speak of, very old, but that made the charm of the place very authentic. You can view the property directly: Tor Di Nona. GardenThere was a patio, which is where the laundry was located. It was not big enough to sit out there, but we did use the laundry machine. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe living and dining area was very spacious and comfortable. It even had an eat in kitchen. It was very clean and a cleaning staff even came one day in the middle of our stay to change sheets and towels and to do some light cleaning. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds were comfortable. One large very nice bathroom with tub and shower. The second bath was very small and only had a toilet, sink and mirror. We had five people (all family) so it was not uncomfortable for all of us to use the one big bathroom. For someone renting the apartment that is not family it may not work because the second bathroom does not have a tub or shower. KitchenKitchen was very functional, even had an electric espresso machine but, did not have a stove. Agency and Representatives (and price)The agency was very responsive and even helped us secure a babysitter for our child. This babysitter turned out to be wonderful! We couldn't have asked for better service. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We would absolutely rent this apartment again. We loved it!
