apartments on a farm in Sant'Angelo in Vado, Marche WhenOctober, 2008, 1 week LocationCa' Camone is composed of five apartments in old stone farmhouse. It lies in the country near a small river. It has a pool with outside sitting areas. The house is surrounded by fruit trees. The lawn overlooks the garden area. Nearby AmenitiesThis is a true agriturismo on a white road. It is surrounded by mountains, forest, and farmland. One must go into the local towns (about 10 km) for groceries. However, there are minimal supplies in each apartment to get started. Meals and complete meal plans on site also available. The House/ApartmentThe house is an old stone farmhouse which has been configured into five apartments on three levels. The house is surrounded by mountains, streams, and farmland. It is supremely quiet. GardenThere were multiple areas for outside sitting and eating. There was a pool and stone deck. The pool is fed by underground mineral springs. There were trails up into the hills. However, there was plenty of open lawn space for late night star gazing. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartments were immaculate and had very comfortable sitting areas. The upper floor apartments had a split bedroom floor plan and fireplaces. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bedrooms were comfortable, spacious. KitchenIn the one bedroom apartment, there was a small refrigerator, four burner stove, and sink. We were able to cook several complete meals. Problems or BonusesWe were treated like family. We were able to participate in the local activities with them. We went to the market, butcher, cheese and salami store. We visited a local producing farm with sheep, pigeons, chickens, rabbits, and bees. We were able to use the washer midweek!! Agency and Representatives (and price)Ashley and Jason, hosts, lived on site. We booked online without problems. Ashley has worked in the hospitality industry and Jason is a chef, which made a winning team. We were able to take cooking courses on site and we loved learning about the outside oven--the forno legna. We made pizette and rustic bread. Meals were available on request for an additional price. Ashley and Jason included us in market days, festivals, and outings with them like we were family. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We would definitely stay here again and have been trying to find a way to return soon. We have already recommended the location to our friends with children, because of the large spacious apartments, the pool, the country location. Things to do in this areaWe visited the Adriatic town of Fano and the university town of Urbino. We were able to attend a truffle festival in Sant'Angelo in Vado and a porcini festival in Pobicco (two near by towns). We loved the whole relaxing week.
