Review 3867: Owner, Mulino di Monteromano
3bed/1bath house near Sestino, Tuscany East
April-May, 2008, one month
Located about five miles east of Sestino in the Tuscan countryside -- wonderful, quiet, and far off-the-beaten track. Nicely isolated at the end of a half-mile dirt track. The only building in sight is an abandoned medieval era tower on the hill above the house
A 10 minute drive to Sestino for all the amenities and a small, impressive, Roman antiquities museum.
The Molino -- mill -- is an old stone building, nicely renovated, peaceful, private, and very quiet.
A very nice small patio, absolutely private, off the kitchen.
Everything nicely maintained, clean and efficient
Bedrooms fine, comfortable; ditto for the bath and shower.
Quite usable -- suited us perfectly. We cooked frequently, full meals, with no problems.
Problems or Bonuses
We really didn't know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. Sestino is on the west side of the Appenines, close to the hill towns of the Marque and Umbria. Urbino is fabulous, and under an hour away.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
The on site helper spoke English and was very helpful.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
Very highly recommend -- an incredible adventure.
