3bed/1bath house near Sestino, Tuscany East

Location

We stayed at Il Mulino during our recent sabbatical in Europe and it was a wonderful introduction to the 'real' Italy. Slow paced, surrounded by beautiful countryside and friendly people, it is a child's dream home with plenty of outdoor activities. We also found it to be the perfect base to explore nearby sights such as Florence and Northern Italy. The owners were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay a happy one. We strongly recommend it to anyone considering a Tuscany visit.

Nearby Amenities

You must drive (the owner supplies a car) five minutes to nearby stores.

The House/Apartment

The building is a restored stone villa full of atmosphere and charm.

Garden

There is a lovely outdoor deck overlooking nearby stream and woods.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Everything was clean and in good shape.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The beds were very comfortable and wood shutters block out light if you prefer making it very easy to sleep!

Kitchen

The kitchen is rustic and very usable, it is the center and hearth of the home.

Problems or Bonuses

Just how much we loved it and adapted to country life!

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would stay here again and recommend it.

Things to do in this area

We visited nearby historic towns such as Urbino and took farther flung trips to Florence and Venice.
