1bed/1bath apartment near Campo dei Fiori, Rome Whenearly October 2008, 5 nights LocationMy husband, daughter, and I stayed in this lovely apartment for five nights in early October. First, it's in a fantastic location, right around the corner from the Campo de Fiori market and within easy walking distance to all the major sights. Nearby AmenitiesGreat restaurants right outside the door and between the outdoor market and the local bakeries and groceries it was very easy to shop. The House/ApartmentAn old building but well-maintained. The apartment is on the top floor of a four-story walk up so it takes some energy to climb the stairs. There is only an apartment underneath, neither on either side but we never heard anything from within the building. The area, however, is quite noisy because of all the outdoor restaurants/cafes. The apartment itself was immaculate and very well-accommodated. We were particularly pleased with how well-equipped the kitchen was because we wanted to do our own cooking. You can view the apartment directly: Apartment Balestrari Terrace. GardenThe roof-top terrace is spectacular! It has a trellis cover for shade and is furnished with comfortable chairs and an outdoor dining table. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasVery clean and very comfortable. Bedrooms/BathroomsOne bedroom and sleeping options on the sofa for two additional people (on top of the sofa and on a roll out from under the sofa). Only one bathroom but it was fine for our family of three. KitchenVery usable kitchen. All kinds of utensils, pans, etc. The only thing is there's no oven. Problems or BonusesWe were pleased to find guide books, maps, restaurant recommendations, etc. Also, the kitchen was supplied with salt/pepper, olive oil, vinegar, sugar, etc. Nice. Agency and Representatives (and price)Excellent service. They spoke English. We paid €165 per night. The staff at Italy-Accom and the owner were all very gracious as well. We would love to stay in this apartment again! Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Definitely! But only for a small family. I wouldn't want to share the apartment with another couple. Also, climbing the stairs is arduous so one needs to take that into consideration. Things to do in this areaEndless options.
