efficiency apartments near the Spanish Steps, Rome WhenSeptember 2008 ReviewIt is with great sadness that I can no longer recommend this rental as I have done in the past. As a returning guest I had expectations that I would be staying in the suite that I had a booking voucher for called the Fattori suite. Upon my arrival I excitedly talked about returning to Rome and staying in this suite, as I had enjoyed it so much on my last trip. The rental employee said nothing about the downgrade they made nor told me they had someone else occupying the Fattori suite that I was holding the booking contract for. He accompanied me to the El Greco suite (a smaller, noiser room) and said, "You will be staying here." I was shocked, because there are only six apartments/suites and you choose the one you want by name, size and price. I was being downgraded. I was expecting the Fattori suite, which had a bedroom off the entry with one window, a separate room with a sofa bed in the room with the TV and kitchenette, and a large bathroom. I refused the smaller suite. After much argument we came to a compromise, but I think it is important that others know that you may not get what you expect if you book with this rental company. The manager said he switches these two suites all the time and it is not a problem. He says people like the smaller suite better. Many attempts were made by the manager to justify what he was attempting to do to me. He was breaking his part of the rental agreement and if I had done that my credit card would have been charged per the agreement. So, I cannot recommend this rental anymore.
