2bed/2bath apartment near Colosseum, Rome WhenJan 2009, 6 nights LocationFabulous Location!! We walked everywhere. When the rain was falling hard we navigated the metro easily. The metro stop was an easy five minute walk. We had every convenience in our street. With the Colosseum at one end and San Giovanni at the other, it was perfect, filled with history yet with all the shops, restaurants, groceries nearby. Nearby AmenitiesEverything is nearby. Two groceries within 100 metres. Many restaurants and cafes in the street all within five minutes walk. Walk another 10 minutes to San Giovanni metro station and there is wonderful shopping, with Furla and Leam and many other shops for those essential leather purchases. The House/ApartmentWe couldn't hear any noise once in the apartment. Upon opening the beautiful wooden door from the street the entryway and staircase are wide and airy with high ceilings and good lighting. The apartment is up a couple of flights of stairs but we were traveling with my mother in law, 79 and our children 10 and 7 who weren't bothered at all. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furnishings were lovely and everything was fresh and clean. There were more than enough clean towels for us all. We enjoyed our evenings in the apartment, cooking one night and drinking vino. The provisions left for us by Natalia and Walter were thoughtful and tasty! Bedrooms/BathroomsHaving the two bathrooms was great with five of us. The bedrooms were roomy and spacious. My husband and I shared one room that had a comfortable bed and was beautifully decorated. In the other room there were two twin beds and Natalia had set up another bed to accommodate us. Even then, there was still room to comfortably move around and store all the suitcases. KitchenThe kitchen had everything we needed and was clean. We made good use of the pots and pans and most utensils. Again, Natalia's and Walter's thoughtfulness with the provisions made everything more comfortable. Problems or BonusesWe all loved staying in this apartment! It was so nice to have your own space, especially when traveling as a family. The area was wonderful and we loved trying the different restaurants and cafes. Having the grocery stores so close was very convenient too. The children loved picking out different things to try. Agency and Representatives (and price)From the moment I emailed Natalia, booking was a dream. Our communications were clear and concise. I believe we had excellent value for money. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Absolutely! Without hesitation. Things to do in this areaLe Naumachie was our absolute favourite restaurant. Impeccable service and food.
