1bed/1bath apartment in Trastevere, Rome WhenJan30 -Feb 06, 2009, 1 week LocationThe apartment was on Via dei Salumi in Trastevere. The location is excellent. The immediate area is residential, and historical. Many very good eating places in Trastevere close by to the apartment. The location is quiet. It was an easy walk to Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori, and a bit of a longer walk to the Vatican. Nearby AmenitiesThere are small deli type stores for buying groceries nearby, the large supermarket was a longer walk. Excellent fruit and vegetable market several blocks away. The House/ApartmentThe apartment was renovated within the last year. It was beautifully done. It is about 70 square meters with a large eat in kitchen, bedroom and a living room that can easily sleep two. The one bathroom is very large and modern. Water pressure is good. The furniture is a mix of antiques and new. All appliances are new - fridge, dishwasher, clothes washer, wall oven, gas cook top and microwave. The kitchen is large enough to cook big meals and well equipped. Dishes and pans are nice. Wood floors in apartment, with slate in the bathroom. The apartment is on the second floor, no elevator. We were two but the apartment can accommodate a family of four. The apartment was spotless. Problems or BonusesThe apartment looks better in person than on the website. Agency and Representatives (and price)The agency was easy to work with. All emails were answered promptly. Everything went smoothly. The owner met us at the apartment. She is very kind and hospitable. She and her family live in the neighborhood and provided us with useful information and their telephone numbers if we needed assistance. The owner also gave us a homemade cake and fresh fruit on our arrival which we appreciated. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would recommend this apartment without hesitation.
