3bed/2bath apartment in Monti, Rome When19 March 2009, 5 nights LocationIt has a great location in close sight of the Colosseum and walking distance from many other beautiful sites (e.g., Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps). Nearby AmenitiesThere is a grocery store around the corner and many restaurants in the same street. The House/ApartmentFine private building including elevator, superb and spacious apartment, has everything you need and enough privacy if you are with multiple people. Our 1.5 year-old son also had a great time. Three bedrooms, tw0 bathrooms, large living room, kitchen with diner table, separate diner room, large hallway. Like everything in the center of Rome the outside traffic can be noisy at times (even on the fourth floor), if you have a problem with that I suggest you bring earplugs. You can view the property directly: Serpenti Terrace. GardenThere is a big private terrace. We didn't sit there much as we visited Rome in the early season. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThere is enough good and comfortable furniture. The apartment was clean. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe beds, bedrooms, bathrooms were fine. Having a bath was a plus for our son. KitchenWe cooked in the kitchen and didn't really miss anything. Agency and Representatives (and price)The very helpful owner lives in the next building. He was even so nice to share his private wireless Internet connection with us free of charge. And when my wife forgot her ring in the apartment, the owner and his wife searched for it and when they found it, he shipped it to the Netherlands, and didn't allow us to pay for the shipping costs. The agency was also very helpful both during the reservation process and during our stay, no complaints there. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We certainly would stay in this apartment again and/or use this agency. It's definitely on top of our list of Rome apartments. Things to do in this areaThe main reason for our visit to Rome was the Maratona di Roma. The apartment proved to be a great spot for this as we could easily walk to the starting area just before the beginning. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
