1bed/1bath house in Civitella Marittima, Tuscany West WhenApril 25 - May 2, 1 week LocationCasina di Rosa is situated in an authentic medieval Tuscan village, built on a hill, from which wonderful views of the Tuscan landscape can be enjoyed. Nearby AmenitiesSmall shops like a bakery, a butcher, a small grocery store etc. are at walking distance as well as a nice trattoria. Two larger supermarkets can be found at Paganico, a drive of approx. 10 kilometers. The House/ApartmentCasina di Rosa is an old house with no direct neighbours and is definitely in good shape. In general the village is quiet but of course there are some noises from people and barking dogs from nearby houses. GardenThere is a small patio at the front door which seats two (garden chairs) and is fine for a relaxing moment outside. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe house was clean and well taken care of. The furniture was comfortable. Two small couches in the living room and a table with four basic chairs in the kitchen. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe double bed is large and comfortable. The bathroom was fine. KitchenWe used the kitchen a lot and were happy with the equipment, pots, pans and dishware. We cooked almost every night and did not miss a thing. Problems or BonusesWe were a bit unlucky with the weather (cold and rainy) for most days of our stay which forced us to stay inside the house quite often. Since the house is a traditional brick house with not much isolation it felt quite cold. We used the fire place in the kitchen (lots of wood available) and the gas heater a lot which helped of course. We feel this house would be more comfortable in a warmer period, in which case the construction of the house would even be an advantage since it would stay cool inside. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We would definitely recommend a stay in the village for an authentic Tuscan experience with very few other tourists. We would also recommend the house since it is so well equipped and taken care of. The only note is that we would probably rent it in a warmer period (see earlier comments).
