Vacation rentals in Italy (villas, farms, estates, agriturismo, apartments)
Review 4197: Italy Perfect, Veneto
1bed/1bath near Borghese Gardens, Rome
February 2009, one month
The fourth floor apartment, with elevator, is off of (1 & 1/2 blocks) Via Veneto in Rome. Well equipped including local phone and DSL connection. Nice area for walking with close by Borghese Gardens for jogging or leisurely strolls. Bus and metro nearby.
Numerous coffee shops and restaurants nearby, two blocks to groceries and a wine shop on the corner.
Well maintained, typical old European city building. Secure location with a doorman 8-5. Very quiet apartment even with the many residents who were friendly and helpful.
Interior was well equipped. Hard wood floors. Comfortable furniture. Nice selection of books and travel literature. Two TVs, DSL, safe, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Plenty of closet space.
Bedroom and bathroom was very adequate.
Functional and well equipped kitchen.
Problems or Bonuses
Friendly and accommodating local shop keepers.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
Agency was the best I have worked with. On site greeter was very helpful. The owner called on two occasions to be sure everything was in order.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
I have used Italy Perfect for another apartment rental in October '09 and my future plans include renting the Via Veneto apartment again in 2010.
Things to do in this area
Borghese Gardens are wonderful for relaxing walks. Cafe Lotti (one block) has very friendly owners and baristas.
