June 27 to July 4, 2009, 7 days

Location

Large apartment but unfortunately a 15 minute walk from where you want to be. The street is busy with loud traffic.

Nearby Amenities

This apartment is almost in the suburbs therefore large grocery stores are about five minute walk away.

The House/Apartment

The building is old and filled with antiques. Antiques are nice to look at but the pots, dishes, no A/C, table, etc. are also antique which makes them difficult to live with at this premium price.

Garden

The deck has no view and was so dirty we didn't use it.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

As above, very old fragile furniture.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The beds were horrific.

Kitchen

The kitchen utensils were ancient.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The owner was extremely paranoid about her antiques being broken. Her representative, who lived below us, once knocked on the door because we banged our suitcase on the floor and the representative wanted to see if we broke something. This included a search of the apartment.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

No. Its too far from the historic centre. If it was in the historic centre then we could put up with the owner's eccentricities and the ancient equipment.

Things to do in this area

This town is a gem. No cars in the historic centre and beautiful Paladio architecture. Also off the tourist path with great restaurants.
