Review 4314: Owner, Rome is Home
1bed/1bath apartment near Campo dei Fiori, Rome
September 27 - October 4, 2009, 1 week
The apartment is in a perfect location for Rome, exactly centered between every place you would wish to see. All within walking distance. The city was alive in the streets surrounding the building but the shutters provided quiet when desired.
Full grocery was one block away, cafes and bars just moments from the door.
The apartment is charming, light-filled, in a gorgeous old building, third floor up a marble staircase (but a small elevator brought you up after a long day—very desirable!). Lovely view across rooftops of the city, we could watch the sun go down and the streets light up at night.
All furniture was pretty, clean, light. Lots of reference material for touring, and a stack of books from prior renters.
The bed was excellent! I had a hard time getting out early to tour!
Kitchen had everything necessary to make our lunches, and several evenings we cooked in, with ease.
Problems or Bonuses
Massimo, the owner, was a phone call away for explanations about the apartment and recommendations for restaurants. He arranged a driver for the transfer to and from the airport — seamless. We even found some grappa in the apartment for our nightcap!
