Location

Located near the Ponte Vecchio in the Oltrarno section of Florence. It's a free standing house with historical significance.

Nearby Amenities

Very well located and all the amenities you would want are nearby within walking distance. You would not need nor want a car with this rental.

The House/Apartment

Two story house with sitting/dining room and kitchen on the ground floor and bedroom, bath and small outside terrace on the second floor.

Garden

Outside sitting area on the second floor is a delightful small terrace overlooking immediate homes - great for lunch, breakfast or sipping wines ... with cheese and salami of course.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Everything was in wonderful shape and very clean. Laptop computer can be rented from the owner at €3 or €4 per day.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

A wonderful rental with plenty of room. Stand-up shower in the bath.

Kitchen

Great kitchen with everything you would want. The gracious owner provided a "starter" supply of wine, fruit, bread, etc.

Problems or Bonuses

Not really any surprises. This review only is submitted to reinforce the other reviews of this property, which are enthusiastically positive. One surprise was that Maurizio (the owner) and Lisa provided a lovely floral piece in celebration of our special wedding anniversary.

Two negatives which are not major by any means. The motorbikes can be noisy at night but quickly solved by keeping the street bedroom window closed in favor of the rear window or turning on the air conditioning. Also there is a short but impressive street climb to the house but we easily became used to it.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Great welcome and service from Maurizio when we arrived. He was always available in the event of any problems of which there were none. Speaks English quite well and is a great source of information. Lisa at Italy Perfect provided a lot of material to prepare one for the visit to Florence.

Cost for a week was about $1700.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

A great rental! One of the best rentals we've had in Italy including those in Rome, Verona, Florence, Naples, etc.
