2bed/2bath apartment in Praiano, Campania WhenOct 2009, 7 days LocationCasa Matilde is located in the town of Praiano on the Amalfi Coast. The apartment is on the main street about 68 stairs up. I was a quiet and comfortable location. Nearby AmenitiesEverything is in walking distance. There is a grocery store right down the street, and several excellent restaurants - with one right next door, and one across the street. The House/ApartmentThe apartment is in a building with other apartments, although there is complete privacy, and it feels like you are in a stand alone building. Also, the apartment feels brand new because it is so clean and bright. GardenThere is are three small terraces - off both bedrooms and one off the living room. They all have spectacular views of the ocean and sunsets behind the island of Capri - glorious! Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furniture is cozy and everything is spotlessly clean. KitchenThe kitchen has everything you need for cooking full meals. The pans and dishes are neatly stacked in the cabinets making for a pleasant cooking experience. Agency and Representatives (and price)The agency - Summer in Italy - is a pleasure to work with. They give immediate responses to questions, and also prepare you with many pages that explain the culture in Italy. If need be, they would even serve as translators for you. It gave me a sense of security knowing this company was there for me. The price was fair especially considering we had four people splitting it - about $970 for the second week in October 2009. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would definitely stay there again. Actually, I can't wait to stay there again. Things to do in this areaThere are several great restaurants in walking distance, and some ceramic shops with lovely mementos at decent prices. Also, Positano is a 15 minute bus ride (the bus stop is right outside the apartment) from Positano, I highly recommend taking a boat trip to Capri - it is magnificent!
