Vacation rentals in Italy (villas, farms, estates, agriturismo, apartments)
Review 4533: Il Brugnolo, Apartment
Apartments on farm near Scandiano, Emilia-Romagna
April 2010, 5 Nights
The small town of Scandiano was only 3 kms away and had a good supermarket and lots of restaurants as well as some excellent historical sites. We traveled to Cinque Terre for the day easily, in about two hours each way by car. Also went to Verona and Mantova ... both fantastic places ... you really need a car as you need to drive most places. There is a train in Scandiano. We were four adults and had a very relaxed stay amongst the grape vines.
No nearby amenities, you need a car.
The flat (1bed/1bath) was clean and welcoming with all you need for a self contained trip away. The building was old but recently renovated and clean and modern inside. Our flat had one bedroom with a double bed and one single and we had another single in the lounge/kitchen, small for four but okay ... would be perfect for two.
No pool but plenty of outside tables in the garden.
The furniture was comfortable and in good shape with enough seating.
Main beds good but extra fold out ones not as comfortable.
Yes but small, not much bench space but okay if you used the table.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and could speak sufficient english to make us feel comfortable.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
Yes it was great but would only have two adults in the flat we were in ... children would be fine.
Things to do in this area
Coop supermarket was great; we ate out when we away on day trips.
