A couple of years ago, we rented an agriturismo south of Siena (Tuscany. All the out buildings had been renovated except ours - it had been the manager's house - 18" ft ceilings and all tile floors. Wonderful if it was hot; could be a bit dismal if cold and rainy. Great kitchen with fireplace and stone sink. No bedside reading lights, which is true in our experience throughout because of the energy situation. We came to LOVE it. The manager was lovely. We were a group of 8 - it would accommodate more, maybe 12-13, but the bathroom situation could get tight.
