2bed/2bath apartment just outside St. Agnello di Sorrento, Campania WhenJune 19, 2010, one week LocationVilla Fillide A is a bright, attractive apartment. The owner lives on the premises and she is an absolute joy to meet. She was able to speak English and answered all questions we had. The apartment was well equipped and the premises were well groomed. The pool was lovely and the grounds were full of fruit trees. The owner supplied us with ample fresh fruit. The Villa was within walking distance to the train and bus stops and the local restaurants were more than ample for our needs. The neighborhood was safe and the local people were warm and congenial. I would strongly recommend this property. Nearby AmenitiesAs I stated above, Villa Fillide A was within easy walking distance for coffee and groceries. The closest coffee and grocery shops were a three to five minute walk. Within 10 to 15 minutes you could reach the town of St. Angello by foot where there were numerous restaurants. The House/ApartmentThe apartment was in wonderful shape. The two bedrooms were a very generous size with closets, chest of drawers and end tables. There were two other rentals I was aware of and the renters were very quiet. The unit itself was very quiet with the exception of a few barking dogs from the surrounding neighborhood. GardenOur terrace was large with a BBQ, table and chairs and four chaise lounges. The pool was large and immaculate with ample seating around it. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furniture was in good condition. There was ample space for the four of us. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe beds were extremely comfortable with nice linens. There were two bathrooms that were extremely clean. One bathroom had a bathtub, the other a shower stall. KitchenThe kitchen was small but well appointed. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses and utensils. The pots and pans were more than adequate for our needs. There was a coffee maker, toaster and full size refrigerator. Problems or BonusesThe fresh fruit was a real treat. There was as washing machine available. The property was protected by gates and was very secure. The property had WiFi access and was equipped with a television. The master bedroom had a large desk area with a small reading library. There were many packets of information about activities available in the region. Time tables were provided for the buses and trains. Agency and Representatives (and price)We felt the price was fair and the property was accurately depicted by the rental agency. The owner was on site, spoke English and was available if we had any questions. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would definitely stay at this property again. As I said before the only possible negative would be some barking dogs and one rooster. I did not find the noise to be particularly annoying. Things to do in this areaWe used this location as a jumping area to travel to Pompeii, Sorrento, Naples, Procida, Positano, the Amalfi Coast and Capri.
