Review 469: Le Meridiane, Apartment

Review by caplanco from CO

Apartments just outside Siena, Tuscany Siena

Oct., 2000, 10 days

I read Paula's review of Le Meridiane and wanted to add my comments. We learned about these apartments from someone in Brazil who responded to my query on in internet bulletin board! Small world. We booked for a week but liked Siena so much that we asked to stay for an additional 3 days. Had to move to another apartment, but owners were very accomodating.

You can walk to town; we did so frequently, even though we had a car. It is about a 20-30 minute walk. We'd stop for morning coffee at a neighborhood bar, and then go into the old city. Yes, it is uphill going back, but you can take your time or take the bus which lets you off just down the street from the apartments. Walking around the area was also pleasant. There is a monastery near by with nice gardens. Le Meridiane is a very good value.
