1bed/2bath apartment in Praiano, Campania

When

October 2010, 5 nights

Location

Praiano, Italy between Amalfi and Positano. A small fishing village, nice small town.

Nearby Amenities

You can walk to groceries but most shops are very small. Several restaurants in walking distance. Apartment is up a hill not good for old aged or handicap persons.

The House/Apartment

The apartment was the top unit of a two unit building and very quiet. It had a nice full kitchen, living room with a hide away and single bed, full bathroom in the hall and master bedroom with bath. Balcony off kitchen and living room with million dollar room. Laundry washer on separate balcony on same floor.

Garden

Owner's vegetable garden below.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Everything was clean and in good order. Set up for four people without a problem.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Two nice bathrooms. Tub in one and a large shower in the master bath. Bed was okay for Italian standards.

Kitchen

Kitchen had a gas four-burner cook-top, electric, oven, microwave, and large refrigerator. Plenty of good pots and pans. Great view while cooking.

Problems or Bonuses

Nice to be away from all the tourists in Amalfi and Positano. The view was better than the pictures. Great sunsets.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The agency was great to deal with. The information they sent was accurate. The owner did not speak English but we speak Italian. The owners are very nice and want to help in anyway they can. Very fine people.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would stay here again. As we indicated it is a quite town not one you would go to if you like to party at night. A great place to come back to after touring all day. We did not have a car because the bus system is low cost and great here. There is some limited parking near the apartment if you have a car.

Things to do in this area

No special restaurant. We cooked and ate out a couple of times. We visited Amalfi, Sorrento, and Positano. Took the bus and ferry at different times.
