4bed/3bath villa near Todi, Umbria WhenAugust 2001, 2 weeks LocationThe villa is in the hills near Todi. The setting is picturesque, with view of Todi and the countryside. Although there are other homes nearby, it is quite private. Nearby AmenitiesDriving is required to get to everything, but the trip to Todi and the surrounding towns can be accomplished on country roads. GardenThe garden and pool area are nicely landscaped and we spent the majority of the afternoons and evenings swimming and enjoying dinner outdoors. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe carefully chosen furnishings accommodated our group quite comfortably. Every need has been anticipated. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bedrooms and bathrooms were well supplied and our group of 8 had plenty of privacy. Problems or BonusesThe local woman who serves as caretaker is pleasant, honest and helpful. The owner referred us to an auto rental agency which couldn't have been more accommodating. For a reasonable fee, we were collected in Florence and returned there at the end of our stay. We also rented a car from the agency while we were at Le Rondini. Since we were traveling with small children, this assistance with the "difficult" parts of the agenda was invaluable and made the whole adventure simple. It's perfect for a family or group in search of a quiet place to relax in the Italian countryside. Things to do in this areaOnce again, the owner has detailed where to go for everything from restaurants to fine linens.
