Review 4969: Villa Nuba, Apartment

Review by HappyTraveler from PA

apartments on the outskirts of Perugia, Umbria

April 28-May 4, 2011, Six days

Giuseppe was the perfect host; we recommend calling him (the local gas station attendant made the call for us) so he can lead you to find Villa Nuba, which is just a few minutes by car from the historic center of Perugia. (It took us 1/2 an hour to walk to downtown Perugia, but the drive was only about five minutes.)

Nearby Amenities

Could walk to a grocery store and bakery; drove five minutes to historic center city for restaurants and shopping.

The House/Apartment

Yes, historical, fantastic shape, peaceful. The best view is from the apartment Del Petrucchio. Two other apartments (one for four people, one for two) are available and also beautiful. This is a dream vacation rental - you cannot go wrong - it was delightful!

This comfortable apartment had everything (including a washer, a dryer, and screens on the bedroom windows, something we've never before seen in Italy)! A fully equipped kitchen, spectacular view from the comfortable bedrooms and living room, quiet at night, and beautiful property. We hope to visit again.

Table available for outside eating, swimming pool (lovely) and a barbeque.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Furniture in great shape, comfortable, and very clean!

Our beds were comfortable; the bathroom was quite nice and plenty of hot water for four.

Terrific kitchen with everything we needed for full meals at night - the owner provides a wonderful welcome basket of food and wine!

Problems or Bonuses

Surprised that the view was so incredible just five minutes from Perugia's downtown center.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The owner Giuseppe's English is terrific - we used VRBO and were connected immediately with the owner who corresponded with us and made the arrangements. The published information understated the beauty and comfort of this apartment/location. Prices vary by season. I'd work directly with Giuseppe.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Things to do in this area

Il Cantinone and La Lumera - both - very conveniently located and delicious food! Giuseppe had some great recommendations.
