apartments on an estate near Montepulciano, Tuscany South WhenJuly 2011, 4 nights LocationLe Manzinaie is located near the best things Tuscany has to offer (e.g., hill top towns) so close to most things we wanted to see. It is a beautifully restored villa on a large estate with a number of apartments, all very private in the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. Pool included! The apartments were beautifully furnished, clean, comfortable with a real Tuscan rustic feeling. Nearby AmenitiesThe closest towns were about 10 minutes away therefore a car is necessary to get around. The House/ApartmentThe building was once an old farmhouse which has been beautifully restored. The owners live upstairs and there are a number of apartments under the building and a couple of separate ones in the garden area, so about six apartments in all. It is located in a farming district so lovely and quiet and nice to relax in such a beautiful environment. We had everything we could need, fully equipped kitchen, lounge area, TV, separate bedroom and bathroom, nothing was missing, even the cute dog came to visit most days! GardenThe gardens were spectacular ... big, clean pool and chairs to relax, BBQ area, various sitting areas so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The owners who are amazing and so hospitable gave us fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden or we could help ourselves! Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartment was spotless with the whole theme being Tuscan farmhouse so it felt so comfortable and relaxing staying there. There was everything anyone could want to live there forever! Bedrooms/BathroomsThe linen was snow white, crisp and beds very comfortable. Heaps of bedding or more pillows were available. The bathroom was perfect - even two wash sinks! Toiletries supplied ... like a 5 star hotel! KitchenThe kitchen had everything you could ever need to cook from breakfast to full Italian meals. We cooked a couple of dinners and breakfast everyday. Problems or BonusesSurprises yes!
Agency and Representatives (and price)Alice, Marzia and Fiore are delightful people, their English was very good. In fact their daughter Alice is studying Languages at University and speaks quite a few. Her English was perfect (and great humour). The farmhouse was so much nicer than I expected from initially seeing the site. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Some people have stayed for months there and I can understand why ... next time we will definitely stay much longer. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Yes, yes, yes! Things to do in this areaWe were so close to everything that we were out and about every day. No favourite restaurants or shops - just tried everything!
