2bed/2bath apartment near Lucca, Tuscany North WhenJuly 2011, Seven nights LocationLocation was perfect. It's a short fifteen minute drive to the Lucca walls with plenty of free parking. The road up to the villa is a twisty hill road as the villa sits on top of hills overlooking the city. Nearby AmenitiesClose to restaurants and grocery stores but need a car to get there. The House/ApartmentThe apartment was perfect for our family of five. We hired a cook to come in and prepare a full six course meal in the kitchen one evening. There is no air conditioning in the apartment. We where there during the end of July where daytime temps reached 90+ F on some days so the apartment heated up. But during the evenings the rooms cooled down. I know my wife is sensitive to heat but we both got used to it and actually awoke feeling better than living in A/C. There are several other apartments located on the property. Great shared swimming pool where the kids met lots of other kids and had many fun evenings hanging out. GardenVery nice patio surrounding the pool area. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasVery comfortable apartment with all of the amenities. Bedrooms/BathroomsBedrooms and bedding was very nice. KitchenKitchen was great and had all the appliances we needed to prepare several meals. Problems or BonusesHow much fun we had. Agency and Representatives (and price)Deborah Del Sona from Lucca Holiday Homes was awesome to work with. She even recommended us to a local person to help us plan out a beach location and concert tickets. She was also very helpful in helping us make contact with Luanne, a local chef to prepare a meal in the apartment.
